The upload a picture window will appear. Community answer when in gmail click your profile pic select manage your google account select personal info on the left click password under profile enter your current password then you can change it to a new one.
In your browser and open gmail and sign in with your gmail account.

Upload a new photo from your computer or select a photo from your previous google profile photos.
